End of Life Doula
I have a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Columbia University, with a concentration in clinical practice with children and families. My background and interests include work in domestic violence, family court issues, complex trauma, issues related to aging, grief and loss, medical social work, postpartum support, and support around the end of life. I’m interested in supporting parents in the transition to parenthood, as well as in the other transitions and challenges that occur throughout the life span of parenting. I’m also trained as an end of life doula for both people and companion animals, and am particularly interested in providing support in processing grief around pet loss.
I am EMDR trained, and my therapeutic approach is informed by a strengths-based perspective, a person-centered philosophy, and a continued striving for awareness of intersectional, environmental and systemic factors that come into play. I believe that therapy is a partnership, and I take a warm, nonjudgmental, supportive and collaborative approach to working together.
I hold a Master’s in Social Work and am EMDR trained. I have worked with individuals and organizations and have a deep commitment to fostering personal and community well-being. My therapeutic philosophy is grounded in trauma-informed and intersectional frameworks that acknowledge the interconnectedness of mental, emotional, and environmental well-being. I strive to create a secure space for healing and self-discovery, particularly for individuals who have experienced systemic discrimination or other forms of trauma.
I have experience with LGBTQIA+ individuals—particularly trans, nonbinary and gender expansive folks—as well as BIPOC folks navigating systemic oppression, identity development, or intergenerational trauma. Additionally, I have experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their caregivers from a strengths-based and neurodiversity-affirming perspective.
My therapeutic approach is guided by a commitment to fostering dignity, resilience, and empowerment, with a focus on practical strategies for personal growth and self-care.

EMDR Trained
(she/ her)
I am a proud local and received my MSW from North Carolina Central University. I am EMDR trained. For several years, I worked in community mental health, where I worked to empower families to strengthen their family unit through family therapy. It is my genuine hope to do the same for people as individuals within my community. I’m a firm believer in having a great support system around you and being vulnerable enough to be open to this process of receiving support is key to growing as a human being. We aren’t meant to be silos in this world. I do believe in having an integrated approach to therapy, along with the use of a strengths-based perspective and being trauma informed. The mind and the body are connected and work as a team- for better or worse.
I’m especially drawn to the needs of BIPOC (Black/Indigenous/People of Color) communities and helping on the journey of healing and growth. Sometimes we just need to know that through the systemic/traumatic issues we face, we have someone there who can relate. These challenges can lead to anxiety, depression, PTSD, and chronic stress. I aim to foster an empathetic, calm, and respectful environment where we can discuss these particular things and move forward with action plans for relief and growth.
I have several years of experience working with teenagers as well as families and I’m looking forward to continuing working with them. Whether you are an induvial or a family looking for something more, I’m looking forward to being a support for you.
